Why choose digital cutting?
A digital cutter swaps between oscillating knives, crease wheels, perforating knives and routing tools, so it can cut intricate shapes and large-format pieces without paying for a die. That makes short runs, prototypes and complex designs affordable across a huge range of materials.
Choose it when
- You need custom packaging or a prototype
- The run is too short to justify a cutting die
- The material is soft, thin or corrugated
- Printed sheets need cutting accurately to shape

What it does well
1600 × 2400mm table
Our largest cutting machine, which keeps print-and-cut jobs quick and makes good use of every sheet.
Camera print-and-cut
The camera reads registration marks so printed sheets are cut to tight tolerances, with careful nesting to cut waste.
Corrugated materials
An oscillating knife cuts fluted Correx and cardboard quickly and cleanly - materials that are hard to cut accurately.
Conveyor for batch runs
The conveyor cuts continuously from rolls and moves large sheets on and off the table with ease.
Fabrics and textiles
Cutting by machine removes the error of hand cutting, so any shape can be cut cleanly from fabric.
Custom packaging
A crease wheel lets us make packaging for any product, from our library of templates or designed from scratch.
Good to know
- Digital cutting uses computer-guided blades rather than dies, so set-up is quick and small batches or one-offs are affordable.
- The DYSS X7 can cut, crease, perforate and route in a single workflow, which cuts down on handling.
- Tolerances of fractions of a millimetre suit tight-fitting packaging, technical gaskets and intricate display parts.
