Why choose UV printing?

UV printing puts vibrant, full-colour designs onto a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. The ink cures the instant it is printed, giving precise detail and a durable, professional finish with no smudging and no drying time. It is the go-to for signage, branded products, labels and anything that needs to catch the eye.

Choose it when

  • You need full colour on a rigid board or panel
  • The print is large - signs, hoardings or banners
  • The surface is dark or clear and needs white ink
  • You need vinyl printed and cut to shape

What it does well

2.5m wide, 1.3m deep

The flatbed handles large prints and runs batch orders efficiently.

Print-and-cut registration

Batch artwork is printed with registration marks, then each piece is cut to tight tolerances.

CMYK, Lc, Lm and white

The ink set is cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan, light magenta and white. White covers dark or transparent surfaces.

Zoned vacuum bed

Suction zones hold each board flat so it cannot warp or lift, keeping every print accurate.

Laminating table

We add clear lamination after printing, or apply photoluminescent (glow-in-the-dark) vinyl before it.

Custom branding

Foam, card and many other boards for displays, advertising, branded packaging, gifts and trophies.

What it does well

1400mm wide, any length

Media feeds from the roll, so a print is limited only by the length of the material.

Built-in cutting

The printer cuts as well as prints, so graphics are printed and cut to shape in the same job.

Roll to roll

Printed media is wound straight back onto a roll, ready to collect or pack, keeping long runs efficient.

Applied to rigid boards

Our laminating table applies printed vinyl to rigid boards - ask us about the material you have in mind.

Long banners

Long, continuous artwork prints without stopping to reload, where a flatbed would be limited by length.

Scoring, weeding and cutting

We print, score and cut stickers and wraps, then weed and apply application tape for signwriting.

Good to know

  1. UV inks cure instantly under ultraviolet light, so prints cannot smudge and turnaround is fast on rigid and flexible materials alike.
  2. UV ink bonds to acrylic, metal, wood, glass and vinyl.
  3. White ink lets us print on dark or transparent surfaces. Light cyan and light magenta sit alongside CMYK for the lighter tones.
