5mm foam board has a lightweight foam core between two smooth, bright white faces, giving a rigid, flat panel that weighs very little. Because the surface is completely smooth, fine text and photographic graphics print with sharp detail - making it the standard choice for exhibition panels, wedding welcome signs, seating plans and retail point-of-sale.

Indoors only. The foam and paper construction absorbs moisture and dents on impact, so foam board isn't for outdoor or damp locations. Use 4mm Correx for temporary outdoor signage, or 3mm ACM aluminium where it needs to be permanent.

Frequently asked questions

Can foam board be used outside?

No - keep it indoors. The foam core and paper faces will absorb moisture and dent, so rain or a damp wall will spoil it. For anything outdoors choose Correx for short-term work or ACM aluminium for permanent signage.

How do I mount or display a foam board?

It is the lightest board we print, so double-sided tape, adhesive strips, hook-and-loop pads or pins all work - no fixings drilled into a wall. It is rigid and flat enough to sit in a frame, lean on an easel or stand in a display holder.

What size and thickness is it?

5mm thick, printed at any size up to 2440 × 1220mm. Enter your exact dimensions in the configurator for an instant price. Boards are cut square as standard, or to a shape you supply as a vector outline.

Why does foam board print better than other boards?

The faces are smooth and bright white rather than textured or off-white, so ink sits cleanly on the surface. Fine text stays sharp and photographs keep their contrast, which is why it is the usual choice for exhibition graphics and presentation panels.

Can it be printed on both sides?

Yes. Select double sided in the configurator if the board will be seen from both directions - a hanging display or a freestanding panel in the middle of a room.

What artwork do you need, and how fast is it?
